Rally for the DREAM

The Raleigh based DREAMers held a rally at the state capitol building this past Friday. At the event they debuted the start of a 65 hour fast by two brave volunteers (representing the 65,000 undocumented students that graduate each year without access to affordable college access and a path to citizenship so they can benefit this country) and the start of a 1,500,000 second fast (2 weeks, 3 days, and some change) to represent the other 1.5 million students who have graduated that would benefit from passage of the DREAM Act. They are calling on the people of North Carolina to contact Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC), and urge her to sign on as a co-sponsor of this vitally important piece of legislation and to whip up support to pass the act this year.

Aycock's vision for North Carolina:
"I would have all our people to believe in the possibilities of North Carolina.
In the strength of her men; the purity of her women; and their power to accomplish as much as can be done anywhere on Earth by any people."

Senator Hagan, Keep our DREAMs alive!
